Going into this lesson we were asked what we thought ocean acidification was. I had heard about it a couple times before this lesson but I never really understood was it really was. All I knew was it was some sorft of chemicals that were effecting our reefs and ocean. Later the lesson I found out what really happened. We realease carbon dioxide into the air everyday from cars, burning fossil fuels for energy, And just everyday activities. The carbon eventually comes down and goes into our ocean. The molecules from the carbon then mix with the water from the ocean which is H20 and when carbon is mixed with that it makes HCO3 with a negitive 2 charge making it acidic. Now that the water is too acidic its killing the ocean wildlife and destroy the reefs.
