This semester in Math I have done lots of this from exploring space and air science to code robots. One of my favorite topics that I have done this semester is the geometers gauntlet. We started the process by making a shape that was at least 25 square cm. Then once we drew our shape and measured it we put in this program called Adobe Illustrator. once we had it all to size on Adobe we had to copy and paste it to a template so we could Lazer cut it onto wood. The problem is that the Lazer cutting machine only cut by colors. So Red was a clean cut of the wood Blue Was to make an indent but not cut and Black was to etch over lightly mostly used for words so you could still see the indent details. After we chose a shape we had to pick a word that coding meant to you. I chose Language. After putting all the color in we added our word with ether a blue or black etch (We got to Choose). once that was done we emailed a pdf file of this laser cut piece and my teacher Adam Ko went and laser cut it. after we got our pieces back we placed them on a long black board so it could be used as obstacles for the robots we were programing next. Once we programmed the robot our objective was to reach one side of the table without hitting the other my coding group which was Nolan Joey and I finished the second day and finish early.
