Bridge Construction
For this project in math we were building a bridge out of popsicle sticks and hot glue that was strong enough to hold 20 lbs for a minute. My partner was Tucker and we had two different bridges we could've done a truss bridge or a arch bridge. We decided to go to with the truss bridge because it was easier to make and a stronger design overall.
The project all together took two days to sketch and construct and it ended up holding 48 lbs before collapsing all over the floor. This project was a cool and fun experience to see how much different shapes can be stronger than other. Below is a picture of the bridge holding up.
